Daniel Boone Unit Study Week 6 - Part 1

We are finally heading to Kentucky! This week we learned how Boone made the Wilderness Road, left North Carolina, and built up Boonesborough. We made these really neat Wilderness Road Map Puzzles. We got the map from http://www.lessonpathways.com/ and I got the instructions for the puzzle at this link

http://www.playcreateexplore.com/2010/09/homemade-puzzles.html

Below the kids are cutting out the puzzle and you can see the other materials we needed; large craft sticks and glue.
Now the kids are gluing the craft sticks on the back of the map very close to each other.

After the glue dried, I cut along the craft sticks with a sharp blade.

And now they have a puzzle of the Wilderness Road.

“....Blessed are You, Lord God of Israel, our Father, forever and ever. Yours, O Lord, is the greatness, the power and the glory, the victory and the majesty; For all that is in heaven and in earth is Yours;Yours is the kingdom, O Lord, And You are exalted as head over all."

1 Chronicles 29:10-11
